I have been searching FOREVER for this one OZOFORM bottle, the HOLY GRAIL of Embalming Bottles, also known as the Dead Woman embalming bottle.
This glass bottle of OZOFORM CONCENTRATED (NON-POISONOUS) embalming fluid is from the late 1890s or early 1900s. The paper label on the front is an image of what looks to be a perfectly embalmed woman’s face. The back of the bottle has embossed lettering which reads DR. G.H. MICHEL & CO. CLEVELAND, OHIO, and ounce measurements.
The other OZOFORM bottles I have seen, the label has a printer’s smudge mark on the woman’s face, and this is the first time I have ever seen the woman’s face, unsmudged. This will be the centerpiece of my bottle collection.
