Because Formaldehyde/Formalin are both highly carcinogenic, I don’t own any type of wet specimens, except for one brown recluse spider in a teeny tiny bottle. I am just too paranoid about the possibility of contracting a deadly dose of nasal or brain cancer from breathing in the fumes, so instead I collect mummified, dried, tanned and embedded in Lucite specimens and bones.

But I always wanted a true vintage (and empty) Formaldehyde bottle for my collection and I found out they are extremely hard to find. Here is one that just arrived in the post the other day - a Valentine Present from the Husband <3
